    • Hattie (Grace) Bunker Minot Wallace divorced Levi D. Bunker at the September term of the Hillsborough Superior Court in 1889. The divorce record lists the libelant as Hattie and the cause as abandonment. Hattie had been a widow of Hosea Wallace, her third husband, for six years by the time of her divorce from her first husband. It's a reasonable assumption that Levi Bunker went off to the Civil War and did not return, leaving the family to assume he was dead.

  • Notes
    • Hattie applied for a Civil War pension 9 September 1890 as the widow of Hosea Wallace.

Harriet Grace must have been a dynamic woman and her memory kept alive by those who loved her, for her great-grandchildren spoke of "Grammie Wallace" as though they had known her despite having been born long after her death in 1905.

In a list of births in the family bible are Levi Bunker, Hattie Grace, and their four children, but also lists Mary M. b. 10-11-1846, and Charles R. b. 5-14-1848. I don't know what family these last two belong in, nor if their name was Bunker or Corliss.
