A Civil War veteran, Aaron Hamblett had one leg, but it is unknown whether the injury was the result of the war. Derry 1900 marriages list 14 Feb. 1900 Aaron A. Hamblett and Hattie E. Craig. Aaron's residence was Derry, age 49, of Hudson, and the son of Achel A. Hamblett and Martha M. Robinson. Hattie's residence is listed as Hudson, age 45, and of Moultonboro; her parents are listed as Levi D. Bunker and Harriet Grace. The marriage record says this is a second marriage for both.
Salem, NH military records show an Aaron Hamblett in the Fifth Regiment, Company C, enlisted August 15, 1864, a private, and a substitute. He enlisted for three years, but was discharged June 9, 1865 in Washington, DC.
Aaron Hamblett appears in the 1910 Census of Webster, New Hampshire, age 68, with wife Hattie A., age 55, with two boarders: James L. Gerrish, age 71, born New Hampshire, and George D. Kinard (spelling?), age 25, born Kansas.
