    • Heppie Hancock died of heart failure, and is buried in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Greenwood, South Carolina. Her obituary: Mrs. Heppie Leila Hancock Duff, 71, of Greenwood county died at her home in the Woodlawn section Monday at 1:10 o'clock following several years of declining health. Mrs. Duff was born in Westminster March 15, 1870 [sic], the daughter of the late William Farrow Hancock and Mrs. Mary Amanda Dickson Hancock, both of well known Oconee county families. Mrs. Duff was the wife of Henry S. Duff who died September 9. Mrs. Duff had made her home in Greenwood county for the past 32 years. She was a member of the Church of God on Durst avenue, where she was an active worker as long as her health permitted. Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. E.L. Davis, Pelzer; Mrs. J.L. Brown, Atlanta; Mrs. W.C. Thompson, Greenwood; and Mrs. J.S. Mayson, McCormick; one son, W.S. Duff, Augusta; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Voyles, Clemson; Mrs. Bessie O'Kelley, Seneca; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services are to be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Church of God on Durst avenue with the Rev. F.L. Muller and the Rev. Troy Godwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Active pallbearers are to be William E. Davis, Lewis Davis, Jack H. Duff, Charles C. Duff, D. Fred Duff, Marion F. Arnold, W. Clayton Thompson, Jr., Kenny D. Batton, O.B. Hurt, Lee Roy Arnold. The honorary escort is to be George Hughes, Johnny Fife, Hoyt Faulkner, Henry Klugh, Tommy Hinton, G.C. Anderson, Jack Walker, Troy Carter, George Culbertson, N.L. Golden and Holly Smith. Harley Funeral Home.
